Introduction

What use VideoSpec?

  • you need to know parameters of your video (format, encoding, bitrate) to convert it;
  • you want to know which QuickTime module to install to play or convert your video;
  • how to keep your various videos into a DVD-Video? Use Bitrate Pro integrated in VideoSpec;
  • QuickTime Player does not play your video: VideoSpec suggest an alternative media player;
  • you are testing different apps to convert your videos. How do you compare their results? Use VideoSpec multiple analysis by filtering desired relevant information if necessary;
  • you can provide on request analysis infos in different formats (text, html, csv and XML);
  • you are doing authoring? Use the timecode calculator / converter.
  • The current version (v.0.9.8) is Leopard (Mac OS 10.5), Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), Lion (Mac OS X 10.7), Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8) and Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9) compatible. It is Mac Intel only compatible.

    The last version compatible with G4-G5 PowerPC and Intel Mac (Universal Binary) is the version 0.8.2.

    This version is localized in english, french and italian.
